A part-time minister for the Banner Elk church of Christ, Zack is 34 years old, married to Laura, and has four children. He also works at Dempsey’s Jewelers for board member Dempsey Jordan who was also his director during teen camp.
Zack has been involved with High Rock since 1985 when he attended as a camper at age nine. This is his second term on the board, and he has served on staff since 1996.
“I believe in High Rock Bible Camp because it changed my life! It made me a stronger Christian; it led me to Laura Heaton (now my wife) who’s blessed me with my children; it put me in touch with people who helped lead me to become a preacher. My best friends since childhood (some of whom are board members) all came from High Rock, and one of them is now my brother-in-law. How could I not believe in and serve this camp?”
