I am a member of the Elizabethton Church of Christ and I have been working with High Rock Bible Camp for over 20 years. As a camp director, teacher and cook at camp I have seen many changes through the years, most of all the effect camp has made on the hearts of many of our young people. Commitments that souls have made to put on Christ in baptism is what stands out in my mind the most. Some have even found their mates in marriage from meeting them at camp. The cares of the world seem to be removed for just a little time while attending camp. The camp offers retreats, week long stays and special events as great escapes that every young soul should experience. The church in our area has a great bible based camp which helps encourage precious souls of our young folks and the adults who attend. The most challenging thing I see facing camp is to get young people to attend for the first time. God has blessed High Rock in so many ways and I know He will continue to do so.
